Scope and Contents
An account book predominantly recording debts/credits of parents or guardians for tuition and expense payments. Book also includes accounts of vendors and laborers, including free Black laborers as well as enslaved laborers and their enslavers: Jane Moody (1848-1849, p. 59); Sophy (from Emma Berry, 1849-1850, p. 58 and 223); Ned (from Stanislaus Murray, 1848-1849, p. 151); Mary (from Gregory Ennis, 1850-1852, p. 307); Mary Combs (1852-1853, p. 425); "Old Mary" (1853-1854, p. 425); and John (1852, p. 458).
Includes an index at the front of the volume.
