Topics include the use of service dogs in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment, the return of the remains of Colonel Roy Knight, a casualty of the Vietnam War, to the United States on a plane piloted by Knight's son, a story about Jehu Grant, an enslaved man and Revolutionary War veteran, and his attempt to apply for a pension from the United States Government following an 1832 act of Congress, the indictment of former Veterans Administration pathologist Robert Morris Leavy with criminal charges over the deaths of former patients due to Leavy's substance abuse problems, and student loan forgiveness for disablede veterans.
