Scope and Contents

A note on the first page reads: "Rector's Accounts, Georgetown College, D.C., June 28, 1889. This book contains a full set of accounts comprising Cash Book. Journal and Ledger. Although opened on June 28th, it records transactions occuring for some time before that date. The moneys here entered belong to special funds, which it is judged well for the Rector to keep separate from others funds of the College." Includes accounts for the Centennial Building Fund, Centennial Volume Fund, Lecture Fund, Observatory, John Gilmary Shea Library, and Carroll Statue Fund (from 1889).
