Container Summary

Includes photographs of ROTC drilling in Ryan Gym, sham battle on campus (1922) and inspection (1922). Also clippings on: demobilization of the Students' Army Training Corps (SATC) and re-establishment of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) in 1918; Jack Cissel ("The youngest Georgetown boy in the War" [World War I]; rifle team; band; ROTC cadet (and junior member of the Chinese Legation staff in Washington) Su-Lee Chang; William H. Sardo, Jr. (in article titled "Student's Patriotic Appeal Sweeps D.A.R. Off Their Feet"); and Professor of Military Science Stonewall Jackson. Also present, letter dated January 24, 1922, from Sotokichi Katsuizimi, Secretary to the Military Attache at the Imperial Japanese Embassy, and letter dated February 28, 1928, written on behalf of Lt. Colonel T. Kawamura, expressing thanks for visits to campus. The 1928 letter is accompanied by a photograph.
