Includes memo from Development Office to President Robert J. Henle, S.J., re donors to Center, July 29, 1969; and profile of Center in Washington Monthly, June, 1969. Also: letter from President Henle to Arleigh Burke, dated July 29, 1969, which references urgings "by some to discontinue Georgetown's relationship with the Center"; text of "The Center for Strategic and Interntaional Studies and Georgetown University: A Statement" by President Henle; two memos by President Henle, both dated August 4, 1969, one of which explains financial relationship between University and Center, the other notes modifications in Center's original constitution re name, title of director and Research Committee; and letter from President Henle to David Abshire, dated November 3, 1969, which notes that "the Student Senate has been extremely interested in the operation of the Center"; and letter from Secretary Daniel J. Altobello to Treasurer Joseph A. Haller, S.J., dated November 10, 1969 which notes that "Georgetown University has established a checking account with First National Bank of Washington for the benefit of the Center for Strategic and International Studies to expedite the orderly payment of bills incurred by the Center".
