The award of academic honors continues, followed by greetings and spiritual offering from the President of Georgetown University Club of Boston, John F. Bresette, C 1955, and the reading of the honoary degree citation in Latin by Louis J. Gallgher, S.J. Bishop Minihan then begins his remarks. He references the influence of Vincent S. McDonough, S.J. ("who meant so much to me and to Georgetown men over the course of almost thrity yerars and whose memory has been preserved in this beautiful monument in which we gather here this afternoon") on his life before he begins his prepared speech.
