Container Summary

Education Around the World was a weekly broadcast from Radio Station WKCR at Columbia University on the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System, in conjunction with the Hazen Foundation. The program featured interviews with foreign students and discussions of foreign educational systems. This episode features directors Don Horowitz and Lillian Firestone with Katherine (whose identity is withheld "for family reasons"). Katherine discusses the educational system in Soviet Russia. The show is introduced as "the second in a series of programs presented in conjunction with Columbia University's bicentennial celebration." Note on tape says "IBS - EAW H # 2."
