Container Summary
Held in Copley Lounge. Organized by the University and the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) to release the English text of "Catholic University in the Modern World", a 31 page statement produced by a meeting in Rome in November 1972 of 40 delegates from around the world who assembled to more clearly define the nature and mission of Catholic colleges and universities. Fr. Henle was one of nine delegates from the United States. Also heard is Fr. C. W. Friedman, director of the College and University Department of the National Catholic Education Department. Reference is made around the 49 minute mark to the controversy surrounding a Georgetown student-produced booklet, "Human Sexual Response-Ability," the preface to which was written by Robert C. Baumiller, S.J., who served as faculty consultant to the project. [3-3/4 IPS].
