Tape 1 of 4. Held at the Mayflower. Begins with an invocation by John J. Kehoe, S.J. An unidentified speaker, possibly Speaker of the House William B. Bankhead, then references the organization of the Alumni Council and introduces the presentation of Varsity "G" Letters to athletes by William J. Cusack. The 1939 undefeated football team and Alfred C. "Al" Blozis are among the athletes honored. James S. Ruby begins speaking at around the 23 minute 47 second mark. He announces the formation of a national Georgetown Alumni Association and introduces the President of the Association Martin Conboy.
