Container Summary
Tape 1 of 3. Opens with processional music which is followed by comments by Georgetown President Hunter Guthrie, S.J. The Charter is read at the 11 minute 20 second mark. Greetings from the President and Directors of Georgetown College to the Evening Star newspaper company on the occasion of its centenary are then read. The citation for the Medal of Merit to William Edward Leahy is read at the 17 minute 50 second mark. This is followed by the honorary degree citations for William Foxwell Albright, Winthrop Williams Aldrich, George Francis Harbin, and Walter Joseph Donnelly read in Latin and English.
