Foreign Government Decorations, 1930-1954

Correspondence, clippings, and printed materials relating to decorations bestowed upon Father Nevils by foreign governments, largely during his time as President of Georgetown. Among the decorations awarded: Commander of the Crown of Italy; Order of the Star of Romania; Order of St. Sava (Jugoslavia); Chaplain of the Ordre de Saint-Lazare of Jerusalem; Grand Officer of the Crown of Italy; Order of the White Lion (Czechoslavkia); Order of Leopold II (Belgium); and Cross of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor (France).
