The following pages include - 1. pp.291a-d, a. autograph invitation to FG from Henry Fairfield Osborn, president, American Museum of Natural History, to meet the Crocker Land Expedition party on 1/4/1913. b. National Geographic Society Annual Banquet menu/program, with Robert E. Peary as toastmaster (1/11/1913). c. National Geographic Society Annual Banquet printed guest list. d. National Geographic Society Annual Banquet printed announcement (dated 12/20/1912): "The principal feature of the evening will be the presentation of a special gold medal to Captain Roald Amundsen, discoverer of the South Pole..." 2. pp.293-302 blank. 3. pp.303-307c, includes newspaper clippings re Roald Amundsen, his discovery of the South Pole, his first public lecture about the expedition, and award of recognition presented by the National Geographic Society (Jan. 1913). Includes printed multipage advertisement for Amundsen's then forthcoming book, "The South Pole."
