From the Series:

Series II. Professional Files series is comprised of material documenting the journalistic career of James H. McCartney. Includes documents from his work at the "South Bend Tribune," at the "Chicago Daily News," as a Washington correspondent, as a teacher, and as a lecturer in Florida later in his life. Ample coverage of U.S. presidential politics and international affairs in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Includes press passes. McCartney made numerous photographic slides when he visited locations while covering a story. A subject/country and date is provided for each set of slides. The slides have been scanned and transferred to CD's; the CD's are in the Computer Media series, but cross-references are provided from the slides to a particular CD.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Library Booth Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections.
