This series consists of several leaves of a company letter book for Huie, Reid and Company. Six letters are preserved in this series, which is composed of only one folder. The letters refer to, among others, Daniel Carroll Brent, Polly Brent, and Captain Huie.

Container Summary

This folder contains leaves from a company letter book owned by Huie, Reid and Company. Six letters drafted by the company are included. Two of the letters are addressed to Smith, Huie, Alexander and Company, another merchant firm in Dumfries, Virginia. Other letters are addressed to George Gray, George Walker, and a man in New York. The letters discuss the shipment of goods, especially tobacco, and the ship the Ann.
