Scope and Contents

Mainly lecture notes on International Organization and the Development of International Studies. Also present, a folder of correspondence with British political scientist Sir Alfred Zimmerman. Included with the correspondence is: a memorandum by Zimmerman titled "Proposed Change in the United Nations", 10/25/1948; a transcript of lecture titled "Freedom and Order in the American Political Tradition", delivered at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, 12/8/1947; and a Note on the Proposed Amendment of Chapters V and VII of the United Nations Charter.

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Feilchenfeld was Professor of International Organizations and Law at Georgetown University and director of the Institute of World Polity. He was a consultant to the League of Nations in the 1930s and served on the Board of Economic Warfare during World War II. He died in 1956.
