Scope and Contents

Kept by Frank Geiger, who is described by one 1940 clipping in the volume as an "unofficial talent scout for the Hoyas", the scrapbook includes clippings on Georgetown athletics, ca. 1925-1942. Among athletes featured: Al Blozis; Gregory S. Mangin; Jim Mooney; Erik Kjellstrom; Maurice McCarthy (and his 28 hole golf match with Von Elm); Leo Sexton; Joseph K. Provincial; and Augie Lio. Two letters from Lio to Geiger prior to Lio's enrollment at Georgetown are present. Also present, framed clipping about Frank Geiger and Richard "Bus" Werder.
